Cool stuff about the woodlouse (I'm no expert, but this is the kinda things I know right now about this animal):
- The woodlouse have 7 legs on every side
- The Woodlouse have lungs
- The woodlouse have gills
- The woodlouse is in tha race crustaceans that is a arthropods
- The woodlouse has many leads over the back that make a shell
- The woodlouse sheds
- The woodlouse breed there children in a "waterbag" between there legs
- The woodlouse get birth to alive children, the woodlouse is kinda a mammal
- The woodlouse have no problem at all of beeing inbred
- There are over 10 000 knowed races of woodlouses, but there are for sure more.
- The woodlouse live in water and on land
- The woodlouse is about 2-15 mm (0,07-0,59 inches) but the ones in water can be up to 1 meter (40 inches) and the race Bathynomus giganteus can be up to 6 decimeter (23,6 inches) on land.
Whatever, the woodlouse on land need to live where it's kinda wet, often under something. But they come ahead out up from there places on the night. They have gills and lungs and they breath from there backlegs where the entrance to the lungs are placed. They feed on rotten things in the forest, like leafs and wood, but also on dead animals. They can swim :D (kinda cute however) but I don't think they like it because there backlegs... Some of the woodlouses can live in both water and on land, and they can swim with there children to different lands and islands and go up on land and get birth to their children there. So in fact a woodlouse can start there own revelation on a new place if there wasn't any woodlouses. So in some kind of way the woodlouse can shut there lungs when they go under water and open then up when they are on land, but when they are on land they neew to stay with wet scenery when they are on land, but on the night, when the sun is out and when other animals has hard to see the woodlouse the woodlouse can come ahead and chill, walk around, talk with other woodlouses and making new babies!!
